Zero-Retention Architecture

Physical Media Destruction & Shielded Discovery

Ephemeral is engineered around uncompromising privacy. Photo messages marked as single-view are physically unlinked from disk upon recipient reply. EXIF and geolocation data are automatically stripped via Pillow before storage, and mutual dating discovery is completely shielded from search engine indexers with X-Robots-Tag: noindex, nofollow.

Reply-Triggered Unlink

Atomic os.unlink() purges single-view photos from disk storage the moment a reply is sent.

Pillow EXIF Stripping

Strips GPS coordinates, camera serials, timestamps, and device fingerprints in-memory.

Bidirectional WebSockets

Sub-50ms real-time delivery with room isolation, typing telemetry, and presence heartbeats.
